Fun Town RV Pursues Customer Friendly Mission With Debut of New Facilities in Texas and Indiana Neither trendy architecture nor attractive showrooms set Fun Town RVs newest Cleburne Texas facility apart from the pack Instead its all about the customerfriendly mission to which Fun Town President Jarrod McGhee has dedicated his new 77 acre Mega Service Center Fun Towns Mega Service Center a six building complex with high ceilings formerly occupied by a gas fracking firm officially opened its doors to the RVing public Feb 1 Located next to 12 store Fun Towns corporate headquarters it houses 100 service bays a full staff of RVIA certified service technicians a customer lounge and triage specialists who help diagnose customers service issues and expedite same day service through Fun Towns express check in lanes The Mega Service Center complex is also set up to do pre owned unit refurbs and thorough inspections of new RVs so that theyre camp ready for delivery to stores operated by 600 employee Fun Town one of the nations highest volume RV retailers which is located in Texas markets like Dallas Houston Austin San Angelo Cleburne Tyler Waco and Denton as well as Thackerville and Purcell Okla McGhee said Fun Town is extending its same day service offer to existing customers arriving by 2 p m no Fun Towns new Mega Service Center includes expresscheck in lanes and triage specialists who help diagnose customers service issues and expedite same day service appointments necessary at the companys 78 RVBusiness M A R C H A P R I L 2 0 1 9 Mega Service Center which is across town from the companys largest dealership That offer of course is contingent upon parts availability noted McGhee who originally took cues from servicecentric auto dealers and RV industry leaders in setting up the worlds largest RV service complex The facility will eventually house technician training and product testing among other things Initially McGhee reported the sameday service initiative is working For example 52 customers showed up on a recent Saturday and 46 of them were back on the road that same day We had a stand alone service center in Cleburne but it was never what I wanted it to be said McGhee who launched Fun Town after the 2010 closure of the Texas markets famous FunTime RV where he had worked It was a large service center You came in you dropped your unit off wed order whatever parts you needed and a month later if we were lucky we got it fixed Customers werent happy I wasnt On hand in late February at Fun Town RVs new Excellence Center in Elkhart were left Malachi Salazar director of IT Kevin Farnham general manager of the facility Jarrod McGhee president and Chandler McGhee CEO in waiting
