The Retreat Luxury RV Resort will feature 2000 feet of shoreline and 260 sites along Lake Houstons Luce Bayou 104 RVBusiness M A R C H A P R I L 2 0 1 9 managing RV resorts in Texas that were owned by Chicago Ill based Equity LifeStyle Properties and its subsidiary Thousand Trails is now working as vice president of recreational properties for The Signorelli Company a Woodlands Texas based real estate development company that is moving into the RV resort business They saw what was going on in the RV industry and they reached out to me Munoz said adding that the company believes some of its holdings may be suitable for RV park developments Munoz is currently overseeing development of The Retreat Luxury RV Resort on Lake Houston a 260 site luxury RV resort with 2000 feet of shoreline along Lake Houstons Luce Bayou The property will cater to all types of RVers Munoz said We want to keep it upscale but have a nice mix of users there At the time of this writing Munoz was still trying to obtain permits for the project Were hoping to have construction underway by the end of July or early August and have the first 100 sites available around the fourth quarter he said Rising demand for extended stay RV parks has also prompted Ed O Bridgman of EOB Consulting in Theodore Ala to develop a 150 site RV park on a site 10 miles south of Mobile There has not been a new RV park built in Mobile County in 20 years Bridgman said I believe that the RV park business is already a huge segment maybe larger than the average person realizes I believe its going to be a big growth segment for the next 10 years Bridgman hopes to break ground in April on Homestead RV Community which will cater to snowbirds as well as people who are working at various types of construction and manufacturing jobs in the Mobile area Bridgman in fact is also targeting Millennials as long term guests since its not economically viable for many of them to buy homes early on in their careers particularly if they move from city to city as they advance their careers With Millennials and other working people in mind Bridgman is planning to equip his park with a state of the art Wi Fi system We are putting in a topof the line fiber optic Wi Fi system I believe the highest most reliable ISP Wi Fi is mandatory he explained Bridgman is also planning to build long and wide RV sites to give people more privacy Twenty years ago the average site was 20 feet wide and 50 feet long My smallest site is 40 feet by 80 feet and I have some sites that are 60 feet wide he said The first phase of the project will have 56 sites and should be completed by the end of this year with additional sites being built in response to market demand RVB Terry Munoz Ed O Bridgman Ed O Bridgman hopes to officially break ground in April for the Homestead RV Community 10 miles south of Mobile Ala
