RV OF THE YEAR 2019 FINALISTS inTech Sol Leisure Travel Vans Wonder RTB For 2019 Leisure Travel Vans a brand of Winkler Manitoba based Triple E Recreational Vehicles has introduced the Wonder RTB a European inspired 24 foot 9 inch long Class B motorhome that features a 67 cubic foot exterior pass through garage large enough to house two full size bicycles with plenty of room left over The Wonder is built on the Ford Transit 10360 pound GVWR cutaway chassis with a 178 inch wheelbase and is powered by a 32L I 5 Power Stroke turbo diesel offering 185HP and 350 foot pounds of torque backed by 6 speed automatic For those paying attention thats 25 more foot pounds of torque than the Sprinter van The 118300 base MSRP Wonder RTB makes the most of its relatively small footprint both inside and out with cleverly engineered use of space such as an articulating sliding dinette table with foldable leaves and high end materials including Italian made FENIX NTM a scratch resistant anti fingerprint and antibacterial matte surface for the upper cabinetry The RTB stands for Rear Twin Beds which are elevated to accommodate the exterior passthrough and interior storage including two full size hanging wardrobes The 32 by 76 inch twin beds can also be slid together forming a single bed wider than a residential queen bed And pet owners will appreciate that a cavity beneath the passenger side twin bed can be converted into an innovative dog house Additionally the Wonder RTB offers topof the line components and technology such as the Truma AquaGo Comfort Plus water heater and Firefly multiplex control system A threepiece split bathroom and the largest galley offered in the Leisure Travel Vans lineup help to complete the Wonder RTB Its not often that a relatively new RV manufacturer wields influence over industrywide design but thats just what happened last year when Nappanee Ind based inTech RV debuted the forward leaning look of its Luna which can arguably be said to have impacted the concept of modified teardrop campers This year the company applied a similar design to its new Sol but dismissing inTechs first travel trailer as naught but an enlarged Luna would be a mistake Like its littler brethren the Sol also features a front wraparound windshield designed of three ply tempered glass akin to an automotive windshield Inside however youll find 6 feet 6 inches of headroom Infinity flooring stainless steel farmhouse sink Dometic stove with cast iron grates Dometic 43 cubic foot refrigerator and Hotpointe microwave Up front the European styled Sol interior features a wraparound dinette booth that provides optimum viewing through the windshield while the rear is home to the queen sized bed with storage beneath And as inTechs Director of RV Operations Rich Schnippel pointed out the Sol also offers a wet bath thats larger than anything youll find in this size unit it feels more like a dry bath Thanks to its forward leaning configuration the Sol which stretches about 20 feet bumper to hitch offers about 16 feet of interior space well beyond its 13 foot floor footprint Built on a full perimeter frame with inTechs aluminum cage the 3200 pound UVW travel trailer is expected to carry a base MSRP of less than 30000 and added Schnippel will eventually be offered in premium and off road versions 72 RVBusiness N O V E M B E R D E C E M B E R 2 0 1 8
