KEYSTONE RV Open House Highlights Montana and Montana High Country have been extensively redesigned for the 2020 model year noted Product Manager Mark Krol Keystone Completely Redesigns Montana Fifth Wheel Adds Outdoor Projection TV Package to Fuzion Lineup Hands on enthusiasts in virtually every industry live by one creed If it aint broke dont fix it As the engineers designers and product managers at Keystone RV Co might note however theres nothing wrong with continually tweaking already proven models to keep them at the top of their respective price points Of course tweaking might not fully describe the changes made to Keystones popular Montana fifth wheel a brand thats been the No 1 seller in its segment for virtually its entire lifecycle One of the reasons Montana has been successful for 21 years is were always looking ahead and seeing what consumer tastes are asking for said Mark Krol Montanas product manager Overwhelmingly for the last five years I would say people have been asking for lighter and more modern interiors Weve taken baby steps each of the last couple years to meet that demand but this year we took what we feel like is a giant leap forward to really brighten the interior and modernize it As Krols pointed out it might be easier to list what wasnt changed in the Montana than what was About the only thing we didnt change is the kitchen counter top We started with a beautiful cabinet door from our supplier a glazed maple were calling Modern Maple and built the core of the interior around that Everything is new from the wallboard to the ceiling which is probably one of the more unique things weve done its a contrasting ceiling We removed conventional carpet from the slideouts and installed a poly woven flooring that you typically see in the pontoon boat industry And we just reinvested in higher quality components inside weve returned to solid hardwood styles in our cabinetry weve changed most of the crown and trim to solid wood So in addition to making it look great its built better As Krols pointed out Keystone took an equally ambitious makeover of the Montana High Country This is the 10th model year for the High Country which has become an increasingly important part of our brand with sales now nearly equaling those of the Montana and were introducing the 10th Anniversary Edition Its a wholesale interior and exterior changeover On the outside we introduced Glacier fiberglass a high gloss fiberglass we custom create and inside we introduced what were calling Mystic Ash Cabinetry a beautiful white gray Ash cabinet To that Krols said other upgrades include decorative glass a basket weave fireplace surround stack stone backsplash new flooring and new light fixtures Among the new Montana High Country floorplans Krols was especially impressed with are the 294 and 295 differentiated by the use of either a residential or RV refrigerator The 34 foot unit features a rear lounge triple slideout floor People have been asking for lighter and more modern interiors in the Montana for a number of years said Krol This year we took what we feel like is a giant leap forward to really brighten the interior and modernize it The 10th anniversary Montana High Country features Mystic Ash Cabinetry which he described as a beautiful white gray Ash cabinet 142 RVBusiness S E P T E M B E R O C T O B E R 2 0 1 9
